I Love You

I can say it, but... what if my words fall upon deaf ears? Then again... what if my feelings betray me? Even worse... what if I say it but don't meen it? In the end... what if I am just as much to blame, as the deaf ears for the heartache and pain? You see, I'm afraid. Afraid to be wrong, and let us both down. Afraid to be right, and rejected with a frown. It's probably uttered a billion times a day; how many people truly mean it? Do they say it out of habit, tossing it out like the day's trash? To some people, these three words have no significance. They've heard them so many times, from just as many people, that they hold no magic. I don't want these words to be, something I say just because. I've loved many people; I've spoken these words to only two. When I say them to you, I want them to come...  mostly from my heart, and partly from my soul. To drift between us forever. Never losing their ultimate beauty, or vital meaning. I love you.
