Brother Walter

A call came that woke me early today they said Brother Walter has passed away, and I thought myself as I sat there in pain another branch from the tree another link from the chain. I felt the loneliest feeling  that comes like no other, when one suffers the loss of a brother. A father, an uncle, a brother, a son he passed all these sequences one by one, until he came to a block in the road where he could no longer carry the load. So God in his mercy, and with love ever great, tenderly pulled him from under the weight. And then with the kindness of a fathers embrace' lifted him up to a heavenly place. We'll miss him for certain, of this we are sure, but we know he's in God's hands safe and secure.

Additional Notes:
This was for my brother, but I have written many poems like this at request of other at a saddened time when they could not find the words. It is sad, but I hope you will like it.
