Daddy's Hand

I was born, I lived, I died, I live again! Valley Fever is not my friend. It snuck up on me like a devil in disguise, and then it took me by surprise. A long hospital stay I guess I did, Valley Fever is not my friend.      It made me sick as little as I can remember, in my lung it made a home, back in September. "TAKE IT OUT" the Doctor said, as I lay helpless in my hospital bed.      For some reason they left me alone, just gave me medicine and stuck me to the bone.and little by little I began to breath on my own.      "A miracle". they said but I knew better, it was with the help of my late Father, that had come back once again to help his little girl in the time of need.      The story is true and so it goes, now I know that I will never be alone!      Here's to you Dad!                   J.S.T.                                                                  1908 - 1994
