Halloween Night As evening shadows fall and twilight's... glimmer begins to fade; nightcrawlers slowly creep up the garden wall. Screams from the blacken forest loudly echoes as winged creatures of the night take to their first flight. And ghoulish figures move about as the pale yellow moon races out of sight. The blood curdling howl of a werewolf echoes... from with in a near by cave. Bats, Owls and Ravens too circle the chimmney, and a ghost screams and waves. A large horned owl perched in an old oak tree, calls out... "Who...who...will it be?" Within these earthen walls, a lonely, frighten soul... shivers and shakes in his bed of straw waits for the clock to strike midnight... at his moment of last recall. On the rocky step, sets a grimacing Jack-O-lantern. Its candle light glowing in the darken night. A ghostly gust of cold, wind blows open the door, closed so tight. There on a wooden stool, a pale candle flame flickers... and sways with rhythm. Peering through the tiny window, is an ugle ghoul. All of this terrified Being's yesterdays, rush through his mind, as he thinks about how he's been a fool. As the Prince of darkness... prepares to wipe out... his sense of time. Waiting...waiting, holding his breath. Waiting...waiting, for the icy touch of that hooded Phantom... called Death! |
