December's Freeze

stretching, pulling and tearing at the inevitable, grasping the moment for what it's worth. realizing at last that she won't be coming home. undoubtedly, the phantom of your dreams, the messenger of sacrifice has come for Sunday dinner, please pass the mashed potatoes. faltering, unsteady and swaying uncontrollably, unabashadly just getting by, tenderly accepting the heartache once again. able, ready and willing to give it your all, prepared to sacrifice the happiness, determined to make it through, this December's Freeze.
