A poem is born from the deep dark ambiance of one’s soul. To be sung softly from the heart but not too loud or bold. The poem brings joy to some, and a world of awe to others. At times' riddles they may seem. Yet often recited by paupers as well Kings and Queens. A poem may come in the dark of night or with a burst of early sun light. No one knows exactly where, a poem will flex its wings and make its first impressionist flight. A poem may come in rainbow colors, of all shapes and may at time make us laugh or bring a tear to the eye. A poem may be as soft as melting snow or as hard as glittering gold. A poem may be as delicate as a butterfly’s wings or as cold as clashing swords of old. A poem may be as swift as a dove in flight or as beautiful as the North star in the dark of night. A poem may be written by a novice or pro, a friend or foe from across the lake or on a mountain top covered in snow. A poem may be spurned or slowly drank like a glass of cool sweet wine. A poem is like the winds of time, becoming slowly divine. A poem may last for ever while its author maybe dying on the vine. A poem is the poets’ life-line sometimes grand, sometimes without reason, rhythm or rhyme, but to the poet it always sounds just fine! Smile
