Butterfly

I'm congratulating you on your new found love, imagining a feeling that never was. Resting on a vision that I've never seen, pinning all my hopes on a cloudy dream. But you know, there's nothing in that shade of blue. Don't you know, it's just a way life flucks with you. Can't you see, there's nothing here for us to dwell on. Now you see, it's just as well that you're gone. Butterfly. I'm reasoning that you're better off where you are. Realized that you're far too bright a star. You got some places to be, you got the world to see, you'll get everything you dream, picturing you flying far away. I'm releasing you to the world today, letting you free because you just can't stay. Waiting for the wind to pick you up, and carry you away to the mountaintop. Picture perfect you will always be. Butterfly.

Additional Notes:
i wrote this poem after acknowledging that Jillian(Apparition) started seeing one of my close friends. i realized that maybe she was better off that way, so i accepted it and let her go.knowing that i cannot control what happens in life, and even though i was hurt, i wanted her to be happy.this was originally written as a song so there are two choruses i left out.hope you enjoy and thanx for reading.
