Lost Love

He spoke to me Soft voice, with glance so low of his loss of love but inside me this I know Love is not lost, it can never be True love never dies Despite all the pain and tears and lies Love is an energy, an eternal power It merely changes form, how ever was I to make him see Love's growth has changed him now eternally new paths now open for him to seek But how to heal his wounds that sleep yet arise sometimes in words he speaks If lost love has caused him so much pain Love's soothing balm can heal again The fruits of love can never go away yet I stood mute, that day these words to him I did not say.
