MY DEAR HUSBAND

You are my husband, and I love you so I remember the day we met, I know. We were both unsure of the days ahead, as we both lay alone in our beds. The days came and went, so fast, where did they go, before we knew it it was my time to go. I left you behind, I did not want to, but someone else needed me, and I went home to. The one above, he beckoned my name, I had to go then, please do not blame him. He takes us all home at one point or another, and there we can all be together as brothers. It's just like we should have been, on this great earth, to love one another reguardless of birth. So here I will wait until your day has come, and I will see you once again. Because we are ALL Gods creatures, even til the end.

Additional Notes:
This is a poem that I wrote from my late girlfriend. She was sick with cancer and I spent many of hours with her at the hospital. I gave this poem to her husband, about a year after her death. I forgot that I had it, and came across it, going through some paper's. It's what I would say to my husband, if I should go before him.
