Atonement

These bars are of  steel, these walls are of stone. I am surrounded by many and yet all alone. I know not what caused me to wander astray. But because of my crimes,it is here I must stay. The harm that was done was not what was meant. But for the pain that I caused I now must repent. So I beg that you all, listen and hear. It is with deep remorse, that I shed you these tears. If I could turn back time, and make right the past. I would without hesistaion, break the die that I cast. The ghost of my past haunt me, of this please be assured. Depression and resentment, is their price that I endure. Surrounded by stone walls, and locked behing bars of steel. Is a small price to pay, compared to the solitude that I feel. To follow in my footsteps, will mean to find yourself alone. Haunted by your past deeds, and the wrongs that you must atone.
