The Vampire There's a door down the darkened hall. Makes me feel like a helpless child. I hear that frightening, dangerous call. It tries my state of denial. My body stiffens. My breath grows shorter. I silently listen, with my mind at its border. The screams, the cries that come from that door. My life is a lie, yet I must endure. I now understand, that he is the beast. And I the mere prey, upon which he feasts. He enters with rage and red in his eyes. I cannot escape and now I shall die. Another night passes. Another night dead. I lie on my pillow, with pain in my head. The sun has now risen. A new day begins. I feel I'm in prison, with new chance to sin. |
