Pigeon

Dump this on me now, put everything on my shoulders. Let me carry this burden for you, splat on me like the pigeon I am. Poison the air that I breathe, actually you poison everything. You throw down all your weight on me, and treat me like the pigeon I am. Give me all the guilt to dwell on, shove all the blame my way. Throw the desperation over, and hurt me like the pigeon I am. Bring the heartache to my door, leave my heart upon the floor. Not sure what the hate was for, perhaps to treat me like the pigeon I am. Quietly now walk away, the damage has been done. You broke the world I dared to trust, and killed me like the pigeon I am.

Additional Notes:
this poem describes how sometimes people get treated like the pigeons in the park that we take for granted.and even though we are only looking for some bread, we still get dumped on and treated poorly.
