CONTEMPLATION

Contemplation of lifes mysteries The joys and sorrows encountered along lifes path Memories of childhood Unassuming and innocent in thought Trusting life will be fair, favorably balanced in goodness Adolescence - exciting and risky Fraught with anxiety and tension of what lies ahead Yet unchallenged in distrust Zealous in the bid for adulthood Enjoying the freedom it brings And meeting the responsibilities life entails The joy slowly fades, the innocence of childhood lost Confused and overwhelmed with the pressures of life Pursuing the visions They are not lost Only hidden in the recess of the soul The essence of life Observed once again
