Fool's Parade

Fool's Parade               I have spent all my innocence               On what seemed a bargain at the time,               To end up in a fools parade               Marching along pretending that I'm               So much wiser for the expense.               Oh, what an imposter I have been...               For I would trade               This whole charade               Just to feel that innocent again.

I too have recenty discovered 'what an imposter I have been...' It's amazing the degree and duration of my delusions.Stories I have told my self, totally false.'I have spent all my innocence'OH MY GOD!I have indeed. This makes me so very sad,but now I can travel the path to authenticity.Perhaps innocence is there. This one smacked me in the face. What can I say, once again I saw myself in your poem. Moira
