EXERPTS FROM A NIGHTMARE

WHERE AM I WHO THE HELL ARE YOU The sky is vivid green Where it use to be blue I must venture ever deeper With much cause for alarm One fatal mistimed move  Puts me in the way of harm Redolent odors go a wry Viewing unfamiliar shapes Three such float near by Now recognizable of face The great Ghandi and Lincoln With Cornelius the ape What a strange land  What an eerie place  Ghandi spouts of forgiveness To turn the other cheek  The wise man speaks softly Forever is he meek Lincoln speaks of freedom Of equality for all His words flow like water  Before his mighty fall Cornelius jeers damnation Says he, sealed is our fate To slow to make the changes We've waited much to late The scene suddenly shifts  The sky is now my home It's getting somewhat scary  I roam the sky alone Floating never falling Positions ever changing My mind begins to spin My thoughts rearranging A constant whirling dirbish Ideas so intense A quagmire of emotions None of which make since And through my twilight slumber I awoke with such a fright A conscience understanding Cornelius was right.
