the perfect time

I looked,                          expecting to see                      something that no one                 should ever ask to view                 I sought                            insight into things     not meant to be known                just because we wish to                I reached                                                       with mortal hands                 for intangibles                         we are not meant to touch             I searched                                                                   and I did not find                    answers to questions                  I should never have asked              I learned                         some deep mysteries                   cannot be unlocked                 until the perfect time     ©  4/17/2000   Donna Friedrichs

Additional Notes:
Revised 4-20-2000. . . . . As suggested by Rachel I changed line 2 of verse 3 from "with hands of flesh" (although I liked that line. I also like the one I chose as an alternative out of all the alternatives I came up with. Thank you , rachel for pointing that out to me. After you mentioned it I did not like it so much eiter. "with mortal hands" I think it is much better and it flows well. Donna
