The Message Said

Against the painted omnichrome (the pastels of heaven's sky) lightning shows with thunder sounds beneath which dragons fly. Their breath of fire and nasal smoke conceal their godly heads but we, us gods (mere mortal men) can't hear the message said. This message would reveal to us (if we could only hear) a peaceful place right here on Earth devoid of righteous fear. But thunder sounds mute the words before they're even said and all us gods look towards heaven for peace instead. A lightning flash and several years pass within its spark and as we stare into the night we blindly accept the dark. But the dragons once again appear their eyes-- blazing red but once again we fail to hear the message that was said. And then in heaven's eastern sky the surest sign appears a star explodes, a chorus sings as clouds burst with angel tears. A journey embarked by us noble gods to hear the message said compelled to follow this surest light we follow where we're led. A life-long quest, this journey ends a newborn king endowed this savior child (future myth) concealed in holy shroud. We gather 'round to catch a gimpse and hear the message said but unaware his eyes reflect the dragons overhead.
