Machiavellian Sky

I sit and watch as the Machiavellian Sky fades light to black Remnants of the bright star are still present, only barely now I look up and I see my name in the clouds A dog barks as if to bring me back to reality Reluctantly I return to the stress and work of everyday living How I long to go and meet my nameā€”up in the heavens Someday I will join it there  And live eternally where the Machiavellian Sky fades light to black
