Visions of My Youth

Working youth, forsaking life Materialism their only goal Following the example already set Fulfilling their only role Black and white, still we fight We've so much farther to go Discrimination surrounds, racism abounds To this idiocracy we must say no Growing old, growing poor The two are merely the same Providing them with security That's our supposed aim True faith, preaching rape Hippocracy overrules The conflicting messages of morality Yet we want it in our schools No home sweet home, or place to sleep They're barely getting by Ten more missiles and one warship Yet we say the funds have dried These are the visions, the shattered dreams Of my present youth Scandals, vandals, Roman candles These my only truth!
