Leah (Part 2)

She sits at the bar (more often than not) answering machine full of messages (WHY does he keep calling ?) his piquant voice still echoing in her ears so loudly she couldn’t tell you  the name of the song playing on the jukebox (here and yet not) more whiskey and 7-up to fill the space  between the cubes please she chuckles (a little off her rocker)(or barstool) imagining if it could  truly work that way on her heart- a sort of Seagrams slip-n-slide for the soul (better than this hell ride) or is he the one riding her ? he certainly feels like a cowboy that can’t be thrown (and she can feel the burr under the saddle each time she tries)
