Smile

With no place to go  and nothing more to do,  morale at ebb tide low.  What have I to look forward too.  Iíve carried the banner.  Iíve climbed the mountains high.  Iíve witnessed the world change  in all manner.  Now that itís all said and done.  Is it really time to say goodbye.  The doctor told me itís just old age.  Others say, youíve had a good run.  These well meant comments leave  me enraged.  Iíll write my prose and  sing my songs.  Iíll laugh and cry  till the day I die.  Then they can all  tell a little white lie,  and sayÖ  "Hey, what a great guy!"  Smile.
