For Love of the Ocean

Deep and blue, at vastness you stare. Within it lies "La cour de la mer". From depths unfathomable to the highest height, life teems within wrought by GOD'S might. O'er all the surface of this glistening jewell, a cast of salty old captain's rule. The rest of the crew labors at their part, because the open ocean holds their heart. What is this hold, this Sirens' call, that keeps the sailor within its thrall. Is it the brilliant colors and spray, that beckon those anchored by the bay? Or, the feel of the waves, rolling past one another, rocking like a babe in the arms of its' mother. Or, the wealth of the sea giving food everyday, or just the look of the otters and dolphins at play. Whatever it is, it's a cause for wonder, whether covered with quiet or majestic thunder. One thing though is sure and clear as a bell, "The heart of the ocean", beats in my chest as well.
