SIMPLICITY

I tend to like the simple things, The little pleasures each day brings, The sun in the sky, the moon so high, Window-tapping rain and friends dropping by, A crust of bread and sipping hot tea, Yes, the simple way of life suits me. I tend to delight in children's joys, Especially offspring, their girls and boys, The smiles on rosy-colored cheeks, Sports and games they play, knowledge they seek, Songs of love and dances of feet, Yes, simplicity is so very sweet. I tend to seek out others' happiness, I thank God and ask Him to bless All with good health and attitude, Simple things, some wealth, and gratitude For each day we live on this good earth, For each other and nature's yearly rebirth.
