The Tiny Fairy On Liberty Park Pond

I’m seven years old and I saw a Fairy.  She was dancing on her tip toes in the glowing light,  her tiny silver wings spread as if she may at  any second take flight.  Her long golden hair swayed back an forth in  the cool breeze of the late summer night.  Her white gossamer dress shimmering in the  pale moon light as the low gliding clouds  sail across the night sky in hurried flight.  Her reflection in the mirrored lake danced on the  dark water without make the slightest wake.  When she noticed me watching,  she disappeared in the blink of an eye.  I made a wish and fell asleep with a sigh.  She is the tiny fairy on Liberty Park pond.  On summer nights look for her dancing  until morning dawns.  "Oh…she was there all right!  I wasn’t the only one that saw her.  Polly saw her too!  Polly would never tell a story… cause she’s my favorite doll!"
