Night City Cries Poor homeless souls Blue figures lay shivering Draped in a blanket of snow Each sleeps alone Filthy faces, nameless Dreaming of what once was Tattered robes Shattered hopes Bare bones Dingy bed sheets Cardboard boxes, their homes Smothering stench Blending with alley smells Starving white faces Fed garbage Empty cups and world Proud people never come near Drink sparkling champagne With well-worn minks and turned up noses Arrogant laughter Vane black whispers drown out Night city cries |
