Night Prayers

I imagine laying in your arms would keep me safe from harm. The rise and fall of your chest as you breathe signals forgiveness. I crouch hiding in your soul, take your strength; make it my own. My secrets have been revealed and for a brief time, I am healed. Just lie with me as I sleep, it's what I need to keep the bad dreams away, and the memories at bay.
