Greenpaper clout

Lifetimes of breath and guilt and greenpaper clout Greenpaper that rules the world The shiny metal lost in grass removes all doubt Ink on paper - green on paper rules the world Plastic, Priceless, more than before More than aimless, lipstick books I’m riding waves of ink to shore While you pay men with silky looks Believe the TV when it says You’re wasting all your time Bow to greenpaper ink pens Take your first step, the perfect crime Jesus sees us foolish, vain My God sees the paper train Jesus grieves us - I’m ashamed My God gives us cleansing rain Trickster eyes live behind blue shelves Eyes that lie and break false news Unfounded confidence breaking selves Reducing trust - loosening forefather screws I love this dirty, wasted field Land of the free Home of the cheap To the shiny green ink paper we yield But it is still better that I fight than weep
