Who The Hell Is The Beast

I think they all died victims, Those of innocense and of guilt, In Littleton Colorado, Where such senseless blood was spilt. Now the media, all like vultures, Will pick this carcas to bone. Will follow the families like jackels, From church to graveyard to home. With perfection like dissection, They will chew on each piece of flesh. From OJ to little Jon Bonet, Princess Di to David Koresh. First they print every bit of info. Then they focus upon the tears. Commit it all to film and print, Entertainment for coming years. Don't you see, we're a part of this sickness. Society, you and me. We read the trash in the papers, We all watch the damn TV. Like feeding frenzied piranhas, Gorging upon the feast. Who is the innocent victim? And just who the hell is the beast?

Additional Notes:
i wrote this after watching the graphic coverage of the Littleton tragedy. I was as much insensed by the shooting as I was by the media.
