The Gift Of Love

God sent me an angel, eye's as green as Christmas time,     in her eyes I saw a teardrop, like the one I had in mine.     She would talk to me for hours,     as we laughed away our pain,     she returned to me my reason,     then she helped to make me sane.     A friendly friend and a lovely lover,     lots of shelter from my storm,     when I saw no one above her,     into true love I was born.     Came to be so very quickly, or perhaps it came too slow,     covered me just like a blanket of an early morning snow.     There was nothing planned or plotted,     there was no deciet at all,     it was natural as changing,     summer's season into fall.     More and more we gave each other,     which allowed us to receive,     what I knew would never happen,     you have helped me to believe.     Christmas angel fly around me,     fly into my lonely soul,     love is too weak to describe it,     something no one could control.     So much pain was felt between us,     breeding doubt and disbelief,     cry your tears of blood upon me,     I will give your soul relief.     When my little Christmas angel is in the grasp of fear and doubt,     in my arms she will feel the meaning of what this life is all about.     As our eyes are locked together,     and our souls are in plain view,     it's a sin to try denying,     something honest something true,     We shall savor every second,     happiness our new found friend,     everyday we wake up grateful,     our old wounds begin to mend.     Christmas angel come and touch me,     for your touch is all I need,     like the greatest giant redwood     started life from just a seed.     While our laughter drives out demons,     as our aura's light gets strong,     you are flowing in my veins now,     I have searched for you so long.     Living life when were together killing time when we're apart     all of cupids painless arrows have been shot into my heart.     There's no words to ever tell you,     but my actions say so much,     every nerve inside my body,     craves your fingers loving touch.     In the eye of the storm's confusion,     valleys of great disbelief,     the truth we know within us,     draw upon it's honest peace.     Christmas angel right beside me,     eye's of green help make me strong.     It's been so long since I smiled,     regretting all my many wrongs.     Now I know that I'm forgiven,     from the breath of angel wings,     just to lay down by my angel,     makes the bells of heaven ring.
