Epiphany

Winds shriek breath stilled the lake waits gestating Spring. Warm afternoons inspiration stirs spring pants hotly into luscious summer growth. Summer heats up long and slow lazy days under bright blue skies surface undulating to thunderstorm beats As life at its height, churns explosively. Time races in many tiny movements. We are lost in details. The lake stills her long inspiration, full at last with living. The exhalation begins, summer days shortening.  Adult loons, gathering under paling sun plan their journey to the northern sea. Geese call wildly, trees flame farewell. Autumn’s breath steal leaves from trees  striping them bare, pushing sap down. Grey skies watch Nature blow  out her wild freedom at last Winter’s breath freezes  raging, whistling, snow laden stilling, freezing movements exhalation stops. Lake waits. Life cycle, lake cycle, we write as we breathe inhale and exhale, then wait again for inspiration.
