SHE IS JANETTE

"She is the one who took the time,  that moment when I came "on line, Twas then when they just would not see,  Yet she's the one who said "Hi" to me.  "She is the one can this be fair,  Forever she sits down in a chair.  One day a penance that came from him,  for she 'd become a "polio victim."  But all this fence upon her life,  Just could not block out her true sight,  For she's as bright just like sunlight.  She is so sweet we all can see,  Yes she'll always have a friend in me,  Of course I took that extra mile,  to know this one who's name is "Smile."  She is the one who lent a ear,  that day I spoke for all to hear,  Another one who was so dear,  who vanished late at night that other year.  She is the one who is not near,  For she does live so far from here,  A world apart, well that's a start,  To know where now thy must be smart, 'cause she's a girl with such a heart.  In all the times that she is near,  For her own words I want to hear,  Though when she speaks to yet another,  Tagalog one and speak no other.  She is the one who also cried,  that day she thought her father died,  For I did too I cannot hide,  I also took that lonely ride.  Who is this one I speak so fair,  She has not flowers in her hair,  that one is gone to be with him,  But she's the one who is still there.  I must now speak for all to see yeah,  She is another filipina,  A beauty queen well maybe so,  Whatever be I'll always go.  Today I pray for that one chance,  to ask this girl for just one dance,  How beautiful if we could see,  Her "waltzing" on the floor with me.  But this brief time would quickly end,  and nevermore he'd ever send,  For once this song thus ended fair,  She'd sit back in her wheelchair.  Before I close my mind is set,  Her name to you I will now let,  A Filipina..  yes you can bet,  A loving girl whose name's Janette.              A dedication to a polio victim who lives in Davao City, Philippines  To a special filipina girl named Janette Lina.
