Perhaps...

Perhaps you will not miss me, but that which we once shared that is what is missed.  Perhaps I no longer trusted or believed your words, but had no one else.  Perhaps the day would have come when I would have become insensitive to your cruelty, but for now I only know hate.  Perhaps there would have come a time that you needed me, but I would not be there for you.  Perhaps it is not that I could have been anyone in your eyes, but that you 'should' have been just another in mine.  Perhaps nothing was gained, but nothing was lost either.  Perhaps it is not all just in my imagination,  but that you only have experience in being selfish and are not capable of understanding. Perhaps one day this will all be forgotten, but for now... Perhaps.
