The Eagle

Gliding free,     in the clouds. Kissing the air,     with elegant grace, that belies the power     in her Olympian wings. Her progeny safely nestled     in their aerie, she d      i       v        e         s          toward      her unsuspecting prey. The violence denying,     the love she has for her young. Slowly rising,   carrying the morsel     back to hungry beaks. Soaring again, proud and free.
