Daddy I watched your reflection in my daughters tears, As you turned around and walked away. I watched her heart weak in desperation, "Daddy!" She called, but you had nothing to say. I watched her run to you with all her might, As you ignored the confusion she held inside. I watched her grab a hold of your leg, "Daddy?" She asked, but you pushed her aside. I watched her little soul fall to the ground, As you drove across the railroad track. I watched her terror as she threw out her hand, "Daddy!" She screamed, but you never looked back. |
