A Husbands Pledge

My dear wife, as we begin this journey I take this solemn oath sealed by God as your husband. I pledge to love you wholly and completely with every ounce of breath I have. I pledge to respect you on our most joyous occasions and through darkest moments. I pledge to you without interruption to hear your words and listen to your heart. I pledge to hold your love like a frail crystal rose just spun. I pledge in times of frustration and anger to help point the way to happiness and not pint the finger of blame. I pledge to protect you from harm using my soul as a shield. I pledge to honor you, making you proud to carry my name. I pledge to stand with you in a united union in our children’s lives. It is with humble gratitude that I accept this honor to be your husband and each kiss we share confirms this pledge forever.
