Love Without Freedom

Some birds aren't meant to be captured, Like some flowers aren't meant to be held. Some fragrences just can't be bottled, Best enjoyed on the wind, being smelled. They linger within, like longing. They conjure up want and desire. The less you have, the more you want. Like unquenchable thirst or desire. Put the bird in a cage, it stops singing. Put the bud in a vase and it dies And the fragrence of love will not linger, But the stench of it's rot will draw flys. So tis better to love with abandon. True love can't be bridled nor broke. The best way to lose, that which we love Is by cage, vase, bottle, or yoke.

I have found personal truth in these simple lines.
