My Definition

I always thought the definition of a hero  Was a stranger who was there at the right time and place. Who saved my life from mishaps in this everyday rat race. I always thought the definition of a guardian angel Was a person sent from Heaven, With a halo and white wings made of feathers. To my dismay, I was wrong in every way. My hero may not have been in the news or received an award for her bravery. She may not have saved my life to the point of actually being noticed. My Guardian angel never wore a halo or wings of feathers. She is however an angel sent from Heaven. My hero has been there every day and saved my life in so many ways. She always made sure I was the beginning of her day and the end of her nights. Was there to comfort me when life got me down, And was there when something terribly went wrong. My Guardian angel has been there to guide me through right and wrong. She was always watching out for me even when she wasn’t around. She showed me the good in life and the path I should to take. But yet was always there to protect me when I made mistakes.  We all have someone special in life that fits this description For Guardian Angel and Hero my Mother is my definition. Thank you Mom for being all this and more. I LOVE YOU!

Additional Notes:
This piece is more of what I would call free style writing. The ryhming that is there was not intentionally. The beginning of each sentence is capitalized intentionally even if it isn't the beginning of the sentence. Writen for my mom and all other hero and gaurdian angels for being there and helping others.
