Joyouse Guarde

The Keep of Sorrow, long held Joy in prison It towers high above the autumn plains  Bare of life, the walls are cracked, light prismed, Glass in shards as I walk free of chains. All battles are not won, all pain not gone Nor am I free of sorrow in this time The way to freedom is hard sought, the dawn Of a new life is here, and it is mine. Oh keep the joy within your heart for us The shining truth about our world is love. All miracles of life are given thus Love freely shared and gifted from above. How glad I am to keep this path, to weep And honor all that was, to live, then sleep.
