TREADMILL OF LIFE

Walking on the treadmill to God I had a thought. Who are all these people passing by? I should know them. I know their faces, and their names, Like Issie my father, and Anna my mother. There goes Auntie Ray, and Uncle Joe      and Uncle Abe, and Aunt Kitty. No,I don't know them, inside. All I see are shells and masks      nothing is revealed. Why did they walk this earth? Who are these people? I thought I was close to them. The treadmill sped up. There were flashing lights - blurring! Stars exploding, and moving away. Colours I had never seen before, Music I never before heard, the treadmill stopped, And I looked into the face of God, And then I understood - Nothing!

Additional Notes:
I write down most of my dreams, and this was one of them. I believe in the power of dreams, as a believer of Karl Jung. This poem makes sense to me - maybe not you.
