criss cross -X- my heart

Prepared but unexpected, I found was my heart. Unrevealed and mystic, I found was your soul. Where do we go from here?       Separate roads we travel,                and now our courses have crossed. My fascination with your charm,        intrigued me to delay your passage,                 and captivate your spirit for a moment. Did I intrude on fate, or was this my privilege? Forthcoming, we will have to choose which paths to resume. Do we depart our separate ways,       before our hearts have their say? Did I interrupt our destinies,       by playing this foolish game? Should I let you go,       and never know what future memories might have told? Confused by this tribulation of what could have been-       I am completely devoid on what to envision. I am grasping my heart, and designing this image in my mind, In hopes that your soul pictures us together, and not apart. If you have a clue, amuse with your news, For this uncertainty is making me blue. If your soul should welcome me, I’ll criss cross my heart for you.
