What Do You See?

She's lovely, But beauty is only skin deep. Look closer- Inside she struggles, fighting her thoughts. She's brilliant, Her mind is great beyond her tender age. Look deeper-  Often she wishes for the simple mind of a child. Her heart is kind, But look closer- It's broken to pieces and slowly dying. She tries to mend it, But when back together Would it ever be the same? It seems she's got everything, All she ever wanted. But what she really longs for She may never find. And if she does, Will she ever know? Or will tears blind her eyes Leaving her with nothing but heartache, And allowing others to see only    her beauty and not her pain?
