The Little Things

I always thought, that life's made up of large humongous things. Time's taught me, it's the small events, where soul and spirit sings. It's the little things, like lovers sighs, when passion long has gone. To realize that love exhists, long after lust moves on. It's the feeling of your hand in mine, or an unexpected hug. These little things can pick me up, unlike a man made drug. To wake up in the morning and see your sleeping face. There's no where else I'd rather be, no other earthly place. It's the tiny, often unnoticed, things you do or say. That gently whisper to my heart, that I am loved each day. So when life hurls the huge events, toward me at full speed. I'll surround myself with memories of the little things, indeed.
