Anniversary Gathering

Marriage is a journey through the woods of life,  With a trusted companion, a husband and wife Along the way we encounter sadness and strife Joy, laughter, and the love of our life Along the trek when times are dark and dim, A cottage, family or friends to her or him Good food, laughter, and simple cheer Arms to hold us and calm our fear Family there with support and love, Friends appear as wings to a dove To give their advice, wisdom, and hope As we claw up the hill and glide down the slope God gives us children along the way Filling the heart and empty day Lifelines to the future, memories to remain As we show them the way on the wooded lane Through the years, there were trees and rocks, Somehow it turned ahead our clocks While we dined in the flowered wood Some went on, and those that could, Saw us through each treasured path Stayed with us to the very last Family, friends, those with God above,  Thank you for sharing our memories and love
