Farewell to Lee

Did you ever try to see the me that was inside? Was I just a pawn you used in whom you could confide? Did you ever try to see past perfect body image? Were the loving words you spoke simply all but garbage? Did you ever try to see the beauty deep within? All I was, what I could be, what might have one day been? Did you ever try to see the pain deep in my heart? Did you just so blindly tear my world apart? Did you ever try to see the love shown in my eyes? Was it just as easy to ignore my subtle sighs? Did you ever try to see the words I spoke were true? I never asked for perfect, Lee, I loved you just for you. Did you ever try to see the pity in it all? I spoke the words so quietly, "goodbye..and please don't call".
