Fear In The Night

Alone in the dark of night she grabs her blanket for comfort, a shield against the unknown and the eerie sounds echoing in the house. She trembles uncontrollably, paralyzed in her terror unable to move or flee as the noises come ever closer. She is a pathetic prisoner locked in by the bars of fear praying for deliverance, she turns as cold as ice. The full moon gives her no comfort creating distorted shadows that reach out to her enveloping her in their inkiness. As the sounds come closer she closes her eyes and screams and then there is silence as the noises slowly slink away.
