When I Was A Kid

When I was a kid we would play outside. One would seek while the others would hide. Sometimes we'd play house in my backyard shed. We'd pretend we were putting our babies to bed. Riding our bikes was great summertime fun, or sometimes we'd see how fast we could run. When I was a kid, cartoons were a treat. Charlie Brown Specials just couldn't be beat. We liked to find pop bottles on the side of the road. They were worth ten cents and as good as gold. we'd buy penny candy and a nickle Coke. If we had two bottles, we still weren't broke. When I was a kid I couldn't wait to be grown. I wouldn't have rushed it if only I'd known.
