Break My Heart Gently

Break my heart gently and let the pieces fall, like fine china, to the floor. Take the many fragments, with hand in velvet glove, and gaze with contemplation. Recall the shape and patterns with which it was adorned. Think about the many colors and how it was defined, not with great complexity but, simply by emotion. When the memory is clear, hold it long and dear and deep. And know, my darling, that again one day my heart will mend... bonded always and forever by my undying love for you.
