anonymity

                           You're gone                       I envy the blue suit                         you took with you                       suffocating in plastic                    dangling from your fingertip                    I filled a bowl with cereal                  and ate alone in the living room                             I'm here                        practically killed                         myself on the way                       tripped over the dog                        and smashed my knee                  baring naked to a cordless soul                    whose mechanical mouth asks                 if I'll be switching service today
