The Ky Infant-tree Nearly halfway through the year,
of Nineteen Fifty Two.
Five members of Mom's family
did things most people do.
Each of them were married,
to their true loves, of course.
Like their loving parents,
a great and reliable source.
First was Uncle Kenneth,
with Vickie his dear wife.
They related to the pleasures,
the greatest time in life.
Second was Uncle Lyle,
with Nancy his beloved mate
anxiously awaiting to hear
the baby's arrival date.
Third was Aunt Rebecca,
with Harley her proud lover
telling they had snuggled,
often beneath the cover.
Fourth was Uncle Arnett,
with Barbara his new bride.
They were very happy and
stayed closely side by side.
Fifth was Kathalene and Allen,
whom I call Mom and Dad.
I really haven't ask them yet
what brought them luck, this bad.
Then after those connections,
during that very busy year,
joys were brought to the couples,
with precious babies, all so dear.
It took several months
for the effects to be seen.
After hearing the outcome,
you'll see just what I mean.
The year of 1953 arrived,
enjoyed with fun and laughter.
Things most likely had to change,
in late July or soon thereafter.
In the month of March,
with a smile on Kenneth's face
Vickie started a brand new trend,
it's a new generation's pace.
The date was March |
Additional Notes:
Willie and Eva had twelve children. Five of those children seemed to have gotten the same idea, in the same year, 1952. I am not sure if it were planned this way or if it was truly a coincidence. I guess I'll never know. All five of these grandchildren were close while growing up. We may see each of the others at the reunion but... not always. This is a resubmission. This was fun to write and tell.
