A CAUSE

Leaves fall like tears of raindrops,   crying out in disarray. Against blue skies of autumn,   Mother Nature, on display. Leaves bright, with vivid colors   sets a season all aglow. Showing off their truest colors,   a curtain call to a brilliant show. Golden leaves across the forest floor   lie 'neath the woodland plat. Rustle out a standing invitation,   rolling out their welcome mat. Ferns turn brown and bowing over,   they curtsy toward the earth. Frost paints the morning briskly,   each breath generates new birth. An archery season ever calling,   its welcoming insistence. Maybe a reason, maybe an excuse,   but sure, the cause of my existence.
